Speech on Fashion for the Regency Era Woman

In April of 2019, I gave a speech for the members of the Louisville Romance Writers. The topic was Fashion for the Regency Era Woman. This is a subject I adore, as is evidenced by the money I’ve spent over the years on costumes. LOL! It also involves research into the history, another passion of mine, so presenting this lecture was a tremendous joy.

The entire recording is 1 hour, 35 minutes but the final 20 minutes is me sharing costuming ideas and a tour of the garments and accessories I brought to the library.

I really enjoyed your talk Sharon, thank you. I’m fascinated by costume myself and absolutely loved the fashion museum in the Bath Assembly Rooms. Alas I believe it is now having to find a new location as the space in the Rooms is apparently needed for something else 🙁
