Y’all come to SOKY to see me!
As you are reading this blog post I am on my way to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the 16th annual Southern Kentucky Book Festival. Affectionately dubbed SOKY, the yearly event is one of Kentucky’s largest literary events and is presented by WKU Libraries, Warren County Public Library, and Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Held annually in April, the Book Fest draws thousands of readers of all ages who welcome the occasion to meet their favorite authors and purchase signed copies of their books. Best of all, SOKY is a fundraiser to promote literacy within the state of Kentucky.
This is my first year attending, but now that I am officially a Kentuckian I will try to add SOKY to my yearly agenda. I am doubly excited because I will be sharing a table with my pal Regina Jeffers. Yeah!
