Upcoming Appearances at WBN and SOKY
April is upon us and I have some fun events on the agenda. Take note, especially if you are in the general Kentucky part of the world, for the places I will be showing up. First on my agenda is the long-awaited World Book Night US event.
On the evening of April 23 volunteers literally all over the US and many places internationally will be handing out copies of the 35 titles chosen this year, giving the gift of reading to multiple-thousands of people with minimal ability to obtain books themselves. 22,000 copies of each title, including Miss Darcy Falls in Love, will make their way into the hands of lucky readers.
I, like most of the authors whose novels were chosen, am honored to assist in the big launch of World Book Night US 2014. All over the US, as seen in the map image below, authors will make appearances at a book store or library near their home town. I will be traveling about an hour away to Lexington.
Here are the details for me–
Date: Tuesday, April 22, 2014
Location: Joseph-Beth Booksellers on 161 Lexington Green Circle in Lexington, Kentucky
Time: 7pm
Cost is free!
I’ll be there to talk about the WBN event, answer questions, and share my love of reading. Naturally I am always thrilled to sign my novels and give signed bookmarks. If you are in the vicinity of Lexington, be sure to pop in. Or maybe one of these other authors are close to you…
The weekend right after World Book Night is the 16th Annual Southern Kentucky Book Festival. Now that I am officially a Kentucky resident, how could I not attend this excellent event?
In short, the two-day SOKY Book Fest is an author-reader fundraiser for literacy in Southern Kentucky, sponsored by local libraries and book sellers. Over a hundred authors from every genre (fiction and non-fiction) gather together to sign books sold on site by Barnes & Noble. There are also a number of panel discussions and other special events such as Children’s Day.
Details about my involvement~~
Date: Saturday, April 26
Location: Knicely Conference Center on 2355 Nashville Road in Bowling Green, Kentucky
Book Signing: 9am to 3pm
Historical Fiction Panel Discussion: 10am in Knicely Center Room #175
The panel discussion I am partaking in will also include my pal and former-Austen Author Regina Jeffers, along with Jacinda Townsend, Phil Dunlap, and Eddie Price. Mark your calendars, and come by to meet me if you are anywhere in the general southern Kentucky to Tennessee region. I would love to say hi!
Do you have any video of that? I’d care to find out more details.
My partner and I stumbled over here from a
different website and thought I should check things out.
I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look
forward to checking out your web page for a second time.
Congrats on being part of such an awesome event. Wish I were close enough to participate. Sending you celebratory vibes and cheers from OK!
