Synchronicity, almost. A phrase in the TV series I was watching after dinner mentioned that women were not allowed at funerals in England during the Regency. I was very surprised, as I’d been puzzling over the Muslim practice of forbidding women from funeral services to this day. Searched on “women not allowed at funeral England 1800s” and the first meaningful hit was this page.
The TV series I was watching is “Miss Austen”.

No creepies…Just don’t know about that whole keeping the body at home in this time period. Not too excited about the smell. LOL I wouldn’t mind the all black, I do that for stretches anyway. =D I think I would be in half mourning constantly. Black, grey, plum, deep lavender…sounds a bit like my wardrobe.
