Update on the happenings of Sharon Lathan and her next book: The Passions of Dr. Darcy is DONE! Yes! I typed “The End” well ahead of my deadline, compiled the whole manuscript into the proper format, and then sent it off to my editor Deb Werksman at Sourcebooks on June 11. Yippee!! I can’t express what a tremendous relief it is to have my epic tale of George Darcy finished. I am SO proud of it and can’t wait to share it with the world! That, of course, won’t be for a while yet. The tentative release is still April 2013 as far as I know. But time does fly! In the mean while I will be busy handling the edits as they come my way and then later preparing for the promotion. The novel clocked in at just slightly under 170,000 words. That is a bit bigger than my largest novel – Loving Mr. Darcy – and it is one amazingly in depth story.
As a treat to entice and excite I have added a slew of images onto my Portrait Gallery. There are 2 new albums. One is a complement of the novel. The second is a collection of fashion examples, both Indian garments and Georgian Era clothing. I will continue to add to both as time goes on, but they each have tons of great pictures.
Pop on over and enjoy. I’ll keep posting updates as I have them. Hopefully soon I’ll have a cover to share!
