Article in my local newspaper
This past Sunday, August 9, your humble authoress was featured in a full page spread in the Hanford Sentinel, my local newspaper. Talk about surreal! I was waiting to share the fun with all of you here on the blog until the article was placed online. Here is the link to the full article: Hanford Author picks up where Pride & Prejudice leaves off
Isn’t that fabulous! The reporter, Heather, hit all the major points most important to me in the article she titled, “Writing a Happy Ending.” Thanks Heather! We had a delightful hour together as she took copious notes. The photographer snapped at least three dozen photos and captured me and the book very well, even if I don’t look 21 years old like I asked! LOL! I was so pleased! And my friends here in town have gotten a kick out of seeing me in the paper – a feat that has never happened to me before!
As my first ever newspaper article, my proud husband had it framed. It hangs in my office.
Hi Sharon! Hi Steve!
Wonderful little movie you made and graciously shared with us. Steve, you did an awesome job! Congratulations to both of you. Yes, Steve does have a natural narrator’s voice. It would have been nice to hear your voice, too, Sharon. Maybe another day.
The days are running down fast for the release of Book 2. I can’t wait to get my copy. I pre-ordered it from Amazon. I am so excited for you Sharon! To continually see all your hard work come to fruition makes me so happy for you! I am so glad you continued the Saga.
Take care and God Bless.
Esther
Thanks ladies! It was totally awesome, I have to say. I think the last time I was in the paper it was a blurb about a scholarship I won in high school! That was cool, but this was WAY cool!!
Yes, my husband does have a nice voice. Very deep and manly. Hmmm… and he IS English too. 🙂 He caught me unawares, hence no rehearsed words from me. Spontaneous is not one of my attributes. Maybe someday I’ll brave the blushes and stammers to put together a video.
Susanne, the day someone stops me in the streets I am sure I will faint. I just can’t imagine THAT every happening!
Thanks again everyone.
Oh My Goodness…..TOO awesome!!!!! Im so pleased for your!!!!congratulations!!!counting down for book 2!!
Congrats, Sharon! Do tell if NY Times comes a calling!
That´s so great!!! The movie is amazing, you and the fabolous newspaper, your laptop and the poster of Pride and Prejudice! And your husband shares it all with you.

Thats awesome Sharon!! A BIG congratulations from me too!!!!
I love the movie Steve made. I enjoyed hearing Steve and I was hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to hear you say something I would have been stoked to hear your voice. You look gorgeous in the movie by the way!
Steve has a natural narrator voice, so I would love it if Steve could make another cool movie asking you questions like an interview hehehe. Bit too much to ask?
Many many congratualtions Sharon, and wishing you many more amazing moments in your journey.
