2015 is HERE! Be inspired….
“Hope…
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…”
~ Alfred Tennyson
Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man.
~ Benjamin Franklin
Make New Year’s goals. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year.
This helps you do your part. It is an affirmation that you’re interested in fully living life in the year to come.
~ Melody Beattie
An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in.
A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.
~ Bill Vaughan
The horizon leans forward,
Offering you space to place new steps of change.
~ Maya Angelou
When is Darcy and Elizabeth: Hope of the Future coming out?
Regarding the new year being a new book. On New Year’s Eve my daughter posted a meme with similar quote [“tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page blank book. Write a good one!” – Brad Paisley] on Facebook accompanied by the following insightful comment:
“I saw this quote posted a few times yesterday. I hope it inspires people. Personally, I find that thinking this way puts a lot of pressure on me. ‘It’s a brand new year – you’d better not screw it up like you usually do!’
“Instead of hoping for a ‘good’ book, I’m hoping that my book of 2015 will be smudged and a bit ragged – as a well-loved book dragged through difficult places should be. I’m hoping it has a lot of stuff scribbled out – if I get everything right the first time, I’m not learning. I’m hoping a lot of the pages get dog-eared – things will happen this year that I want to remember. And I need to remember that the pages weren’t blank when I was handed this book 12 hours ago – every page is watermarked by my past experience.
“My book of 2015 is dedicated to everyone I have ever met, seen, read, heard, or thought about. You have all shaped me in some way. Thank you.”
