ha! Betty Jo, I am with you! All these recipes sound like too much work for me! I’ll buy the pies from Marie Callendars and the mix drinks packages! LOL!

Ninja Eliz, it was so much fun! I was blown away and so touched. Truly, I am thrilled you came to see me and don’t think it slightly stalkerish! Just good detective work. 🙂 You should consider a change of career! I had a blast chatting with you. Thanks for taking the time.

I forgot to tell you how much I enjoy all these kind of posts about the era history! I hope you enjoyed Fantasmic!! It was great to see you! (*laughs* still feels a bit like a stalker)

Sharon~
I’m enjoying the Regency Christmas history very much.
Yes for (fruit) mince pie-
Yes for Non-alco wassail-
Maybe for pudding-
No for preparing any of these! I’ll just stick to
good old fashioned pour straight out of the carton
eggnog and slice-n-bake cookies…LOL.
More Please!

Hi Melanie, To be honest, I have never made any of these dishes! They sound a bit strange or, in the case of the wassail, I don’t drink alcohol. LOL! I need to find a recipe that is focused on the cider and non-alcoholic.

Wassail is pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable – waaa sl (if that helps)

Melanie

That pudding doesn’t sound too bad! I’ve never quite figured out how "wassail" is supposed to be pronounced, though.
