I’m quite the word nerd so I love this series prodigiously! I didn’t know where the phrase mad as a hatter came from but I do use it in the sense of being crazy. I think I base it off the Alice in Wonderland fellow who is bonkers. LOL The idiom in my phraseology for angry is mad as a hornets nest…which is somewhat improper English as the NEST isn’t mad, just the insects…LOL My grandmother also used to say “soap opera tears” instead of crocodile tears. Purely artificial I suppose. Thanks for posting Sharon, I look forward to more!
