My Dearest Mr. Darcy
Over the course of time I have grown impervious to the negative reviews and comments about my novels. Readers come in all varieties. Opinions are myriad. This is to be expected. Readers share their less-than-favorable opinion on places like Amazon or Goodreads, just as those who loved my novel do. I will admit, however, that the gross exaggeration and false claims are a tad annoying. Semantics are a tricky thing, and one person’s “porn” is a sweet love scene to someone else! Nothing can be done to change that. All I can do is present the facts. Frankly, I believe the data below speaks for itself as to the veracity of some claims.

Snippets from negative – 1 to 2 star – reviews on Amazon specific to this novel–
half of the content is composed of intimate interludes and in the other half, the two main characters spend all their time pining for each other….
I found the frequent sexual interludes between Mr. and Mrs. Darcy unrealistic since she’s supposed to be in her last trimester… “unrealistic” to make love/have sex when pregnant? As a 2 time mother and delivery nurse I can assure this is not “unrealistic” at all!
Why the author felt the need to “soften” a Victorian gentleman of Mr. Darcy’s caliber into a needy and horny teenager is beyond me… he’s a Georgian gentleman, not Victorian, but in any era how is needing your wife and wanting to love her translated as “softening”?
just a series of scenes to use as a backdrop for descriptions of sexual encounters….
