Our church used to have a Boar’s Head ceremony on Epiphany Sunday. Part of the service was the introduction/explanation of many of the Carols that we sing at the holidays. My kids were part of the production, requiring actors to portray 3 Wise Men, Jeanette Isabella, King Wenceslaus, etc. My one daughter was impatiently waiting in the pews for her participation with her sisters. Our minister said, “And next we will invite the congregation to join us upstairs in the fellowship hall with “Here We Come a Wassailing” led by our Wassail Lady. She was always portrayed by the same woman every year, and she was definitely elderly. (My spiced cider was infinitely better than hers, but I always was polite! LOL) My daughter turns around to watch the Wassail crew enter and says in a rather loud voice (rehearsal) “Where’s the Fossil Lady?” Everyone cracked up. 😀 Luckily our Wassail Lady had a very good sense of humor!

Yum! Some of these sound absolutely delicious! I think my three favourites would be Homemade Egg Nog, Earl Grey Hot Chocolate and Gingerbread Spiced Coffee followed closely by Apple Crisp Macchiato I think. I’ve never had any pumpkin drinks but I feel sure the Mojito would go down well.
