A Darcy Before I Die
Thanks to my dear friend May for sending this to me. This is a hysterical humorous poem read by an Australian comedian named Ronnie Taheny. I have never heard of her, but in this one bit she is very funny. I had to share.
**WARNING: There is one bad word! Not the F word but the B word, so don’t listen if this disturbs. Other than that one word it is clean.

I did notice how the women in the audience collectively sighed – loudly – as soon as "Mr. Darcy" was said. LOL! Yes, he has a universal, lasting appeal that is aided by the portrayals from Colin and Matthew and Elliot, but I think it would be as strong even if picture adaptations had never been made. Mr. Darcy is the quintessential hero and perfect man, as the comedian so cleverly detailed in her humorous poem.

May, I agree Mr Bingley is very very sweet, but who wants sweet when you can have a brooding sexy Darcy haha!!!

LOL! Sharon, thank you for posting here. Our dear friend Kathy found it ages ago and I came across it & thought you would have a giggle at it. I laughed when the iconic name was mentioned, the gasps and cheers from the audience. Even after 200 years if Darcy is mentioned, women go weak at the knees! Funny that the sweet, angelic Mr Bingley doesn’t have that same effect, I reckon we can’t resist the awkward customers, they are much more fun to tame!
