History, Romance, & Austen!
Regency Romance month at Austen Authors
Starting on February 1 at my awesome group blog Austen Authors we will be celebrating romance of all sorts with the spotlight shining on Regency Romance. Jane Austen is often said to be the originator of what we now call “Regency Romance” although to her it would have simply been “romance”! LOL! Thanks to Georgette Heyer the genre truly took off and today is the most popular era to write within. We are very excited to exalt love during the month of February and focus on the Regency Era that we all adore. Please join us and get into the fun.
Three of the Austen Authors have written and published non-Austen Regency romances–
Regina Jeffers ~ The Scandal of Lady Eleanor
Alyssa Goodnight ~ Unladylike Pursuits
Monica Fairview ~ An Improper Suitor
Our special guests for the month are–
2/2 - Sabrina Jeffries giving away A Lady Never Surrenders AND a copy of Jane Austen’s Emma
2/8 - Deb Marlowe giving away How to Marry a Rake
2/15 - Delilah Marvelle giving away 5 copies of Forever and a Day
2/23 - Katharine Ashe giving away Captured by a Rogue Lord
I hope to see all of you there! It will be a great month, and who doesn’t need a daily dose of romance to brighten their day?
