For her birthday I would like to invite her to the movies. I want to see together, “Persuasion” 1995. I know I would be amazing to share that moment with her and I think she might like.
Happy Birthday Miss Austen, I wish you the happiest of birthdays in a heaven surrounded by friends, and congratulations to all who celebrate it like a dear friend’s birthday.

I am a tad late to the party but Happy Birthday Jane! A musical gift from Georgiana and Sebastian is a wonderful idea, I’m sure she’d love it.

Having just reread Sense and Sensibility, I am in awe of how Jane Austen mixed a prose style unmatched in all literature, an understanding of people and relationships that goes far beyond my own comprehension – yet she lays it out for even the most clueless, such as I, a moral core of impeccable fiber, a sense of humor honed on the knife edge of injustice and fury, and a compassion as deep as her anger.

What I love about P&P is how Lizzy is coming to terms with her family complications, her friend’s choices, and her own misguided prejudices as she discovers what (and even who) she wants out of life. It is a very contemporary theme.

Happy Holidays, Sharon! What don’t I love about Jane? She was innovative, a trailblazer, and she gave a voice, not only to wonderful characters, but to future writers who would have a lot to say on the subject themselves! All I can say to that is THANK YOU, JANE!!

Wonderful! Happy birthday to a woman, greatest author of all time! That has had such a profound effect on my teen and adult life! The most important aspect being that I have had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with my newest fav author Sharon!!
Sharon, Jane would love all of your wonderful books and this beautiful tribute from Georgiana and Sebastian.

I love Jane Austen’s books because they taught me to laugh at myself yet never fail to leave me feeling wiser than before I read them.

Courtney

Thanks for the lovely birthday gift and giveaway! And Happy Happy Birthday to Dear Jane!

I would give Jane a box of leather bound journals to continue her writing.

It is difficult to find a gift for a woman that enriched our lives and given us books that we can read over and over again. There is no doubt I would give her copies of your collection as I believe she would fall in love with where you Sharon have taken the book. While you are ahead of her time, I think you are simply writing what she only wishes she could have written…

Nancy

Happy B day Jane

What a lovely gift! If I had to choose something to give to Jane…hmmm…maybe a copy of some of the more recent re-writings of her work. Like the ones with zombies, etc. I think she would enjoy the humor in them.

Thanks for the giveaway!
