I’ve actually never read a novella, much less written one. Very cool!

I’ve only read a handful of novellas, I prefer full length ones. 🙂 Thought here are a few I’m really dying to read like the Shatter me series novellas.

Many thanks for recommending these stories! I must admit that I’m usually wary (and maybe even fearful) of reading novels based on the P&P world, but this might just be a good re-entry into the world.

I love short stories. They are quick, and sometimes I just need that little something rather than a full length book. They also help me get out of slumps.

I rather read a full length novel since novellas always leave me wanting more LOL however I think an author has to be really good to write a novella and express and capture you in only a few chapters!! Amazing

I prefer full length novels. It is heartbreaking if I find a short story or novella that I love and it ends all too soon! I want the stories to keep going. 🙂

Not only do I enjoy full length books, but I truly enjoy Novellas. A Darcy Christmas and Pam Dixon’s Pride and Sensuality are among my favorites. I enjoy the Novellas because sometimes I enjoy a quick read especially when I already have familiarity with established characters. The Novellas are short and sweet and let us know more about the characters at other times in their lives or expand upon missing scenes. They are ad Joy aptly ststed a snack versus a meal.

There are some days that I want a short, light piece of fluff to fill an hour. The perfect solution is a novella. Other days, I want the full meal deal. There definitely is a place for both of them in my schedule. I believe it takes more skill as a writer to develop fully a full story and condense it into less than 100 pages. I vote pro-novella!
